Simon Cowell's adorable son Eric is already slowly working the crowds on the set of his dad's TV shows, from stealing the show on The X Factor during the Six Chair Challenge earlier this year to taking over Simon's buzzer on America's Got Talent.

And on last night's X Factor, Eric stole the show again by eyeing up a new role – that of voice over man Peter Dickson.

The three-year-old opened the show last night and delivered the infamous X Factor line: "It's time to face the music!"

And, of course, everyone's heart was soon melting at the sheer adorableness of the whole thing:

But that wasn't Eric's only appearance on the show last night as, in keeping with the weekend's Crazy in Love theme, Irish brother duo Sean and Conor Price spent their pre-performance VT by asking everyone about their loves and chat-up lines.

When they got to Simon, they asked him to choose who he loved most between Sean and Conor, but when he couldn't choose they asked him who he loved most in the world.

We'll give you one guess who he picked.

"Apart from me, it's this little munchkin," he replied. "He's the boss."

Awww. Looks like Simon's out to prove he's a big softie after all.

Elsewhere on the X Factor (there is a competition continuing, after all) Sam Black and Sean & Conor Price were eliminated from the competition in the first double elimination of the series, while group Rak-su were crowned last night's winners.

Two more acts will leave the series this evening (November 19) ahead of next week's semi-finals. Here's hoping there's more Eric footage to lighten the mood then, eh?

The X Factor airs on ITV.
