He's been suspended from the police force for continuing to investigate a case that's been deemed closed, but after seeing Victor (Eric Braden) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) together in the park, Dylan (Steve Burton) will become more encouraged than ever that he needs to prove they worked together to set Adam (Justin Hartley) up on The Young and the Restless.

He suspected that Chloe was the mystery accomplice who worked with Victor but couldn't prove it, but after seeing them together in the park in the midst of what seemed to be a heated argument, he will decide that despite being suspended, he will continue to investigate on his own, because he knows that somewhere, there is evidence he can use to not only resume his duties, but prove Adam's innocence so he can get him out of prison.

And though his deciding to still work covertly could be dangerous, he will seem to have Sharon's (Sharon Case) support as she realizes that he is still working on it, but still seems pleased that he can find a way to get Adam out of prison.

"You have no intention of dropping that case," she says to him in a preview clip for the Friday, August 12 episode.

"I think I found a way of clearing Adam," he admits.

Though his investigation has been halted and he's got a hard case to prove since so many people believe Chloe has really changed from the days where she was consumed by revenge against Adam, Dylan is very much on the right track, as Chloe is the person who helped Victor, and then when he wanted to change things and keep Adam out of prison, she instead decided to turn on him and keep Adam in jail.

However, with Victor's continued threats that if Dylan figures out the truth they will both be in trouble and she will risk losing her daughter, Bella, Chloe may finally decide to do the right thing and hand over the diary pages that prove Adam's innocence. And Victor will be shocked when she reveals they were right under his nose the entire time, hidden behind his portrait at Newman.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
