Man killed in Danville shooting identified

DANVILLE (WICS/WRSP) — The Vermilion County Coroner has named the Danville shooting victim killed over the weekend.

Tyrell Henderson, 29, of Danville, was found lying at the edge of the street by Danville police after a shooting incident occurred in the 2300 block of Cannon Street Saturday night around 8 p.m.

A press release indicated an autopsy was conducted on Henderson, but the results have not yet been released.

Thomason said several people were gathered in front of a house when the shots were fired.

The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with more information is urged to contact Danville PD or Crimestoppers at 466-TIPS.
