Young Woman Flown to Hospital After ATV Crash: Fire Dept.

A male juvenile was also injured in accident Monday in Tracys Landing.

TRACYS LANDING, MD — A young woman suffered serious injuries Monday when the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) she was driving overturned in an accident, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the accident at about 5:40 p.m. Monday in the 6200 block of Franklin Gibson Road, where they found the driver and the ATV's passenger, a male juvenile. The 20-year-old woman had attempted to avoid another vehicle on the road and caused the ATV to overturn, the fire department said.

A Maryland State Police medevac helicopter landed at Tracey’s Elementary school and transported the young woman to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, "with injuries that were serious but not believed life-threatening," the fire department said.
