Kaine: Trump’s attack on Clinton’s health a diversion

Donald Trump is trying to deflect from his recent controversies by questioning Hillary Clinton’s health, Tim Kaine said Wednesday.

{mosads}”I have no idea what he’s talking about. Did you see the incredible amount of work that Hillary did around the world — her travel as secretary of State? And the grueling nature of this campaign?” the Democratic vice presidential nominee said during an interview on “Today.”

“He’s trying to deflect attention. The real issue is his lack of the kind of temperament to be commander in chief and to be president, and voters see that. They sense that.”

Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, in recent days has questioned Clinton’s health and stamina as he grapples with low numbers and the fallout from several controversies.

In a speech discussing terrorism on Monday, Trump alleged that Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on” the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

Trump also alluded to a purported lack of vigor on Clinton’s part last week, when he said that her speeches “don’t last long.”

“They’re like 10 minutes and let’s get out of here. Go back home and go to sleep. Three days later, she gets back up and does another one and goes back home and goes to sleep.”

Speaking earlier this month, Trump called Clinton “unbalanced” and “unstable.”

“She’s weak. She’s a weak person. I know her. She’s a weak person,” he said.
