Fetishizing our recent pop-culture past is an obsession for many retro and vintage object lovers, who can get their fill of Kiss T-shirts, “Masters of the Universe” figurines and “Saved by the Bell” lunchboxes at Oct. 23’s first Denver Retro Con.

The event focuses on the mid-to-late 20th century (roughly the 1960s to the ’90s) and all the colorful memorabilia that entails. More than 150 vendors, including regulars from the Toy & Doll Supershow, Denver Modernism Show and Vintage Voltage Expo, will display (and sell) toys, music, home accessories, fashion and more, with entertainment throughout. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Ramada Plaza Northglenn at I-25 and 120th Street. $6-$12, free 12 and under. denverretrocon.com.
