It was a dominant game on both sides of the ball for second-seeded Emerson Boro as the team rolled to a 9-1 win over 15th-seeded Wallington in the first round of the North Jersey 1, Group 1 tournament in Emerson.

Emerson Boro, which allowed just one hit in the game, will take on Hasbrouck Heights in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

David Backo scored the lone run of the game for Wallington and Eddie Navarro had the only hit.
