Agatha Christie play at college

Studio Theatre at Rock Valley College, 301 N. Mulford Road, Rockford, continues to present “Ahknaton” at 8 p.m. through March 29, with additional 2 p.m. matinees on each Saturday.

The play is set in ancient Egypt. Eric Wilson, former news anchor at WREX, plays Ahknaton.

Tickets cost $17, $15 for students and seniors.

Run, skate, hear music at Melt Fest

Rockford Melt Fest 2014 will be Saturday between the Prairie Street Brewhouse and Riverview Ice House.

It will feature a 5K walk and run at 9 a.m., with sign-up at 8 a.m., and a family bike ride at 9:45 a.m., with fees. Free activities include ice skating and trolley rides. There will be 30 vendors, similar to those at Rockford City Market, who will sell food and retail items. A group of Rockfordians is presenting the event, and proceeds will benefit local community centers.

Have fun at others’ expense

Rockford Legal Follies will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Rockford Public Library Nordlof Center, 118 N. Main St., Rockford. Cost is $30.

The RV, Camping & Travel Show will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Indoor Sports Center, 8800 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park. Come take a look at the new 2014 RV models. The show will have fifth wheels, travel trailers, class A, B & C motorhomes, pop-ups, toy haulers, and even 4-wheelers. Cost is $6 for adults, free for children 12 and younger.
