WinterWonderGrass is headed to Vermont for the first time ever this December, with headliners Railroad Earth, The Infamous Stringdusters and Keller and the Keels.

The three-day event will take place from Dec. 14-16, with additional acts like Fruition, Billy Strings, Ghost of Paul Revere, Kitchen Dwellers, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Jeff Austin Band, Upstate, The Larry Keel Experience, Lindsay Lou, Rumpke Mountain Boys, Jon Stickley Trio, Pickin’ on the Dead, Grant Farm, Saint and Liars, and Beg Steal or Borrow.

WinterWonderGrass also holds events in Steamboat, Colo. and Squaw, Calif., with the intention that music fans can not only enjoy live performances but ski and snowboard as well.

“The inspiration behind WinterWonderGrass was to recreate the magical winter culture – ending your snow day at the base of the hill surrounded by family and friends, reminiscing about the day’s turns, while sipping a beer and listening to acoustic music . I learned to ski at Bromely, and those memories are never far from my spirit. Living in the West, I have observed the expansion of ski towns and mountains, and I have a deep desire to recapture the true essence of the sport and communities that were built around mountain adventure!” said festival founder Scotty Stoughton in an official statement.

WinterWonderGrass 2018 in Squaw Valley featured bluegrass mainstays like Railroad Earth and The Infamous Stringdusters as well as Elephant Revival, who have since announced a hiatus following their May 20 performance at Red Rocks.

WinterWonderGrass 2018 in Steamboat Springs included headliners Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon and Elephant Revival.
