Joyce Noreen Kelsh

Joyce Noreen Kelsh age 91 of Crosby, formerly of Fargo, ND passed away at her home on April 11, 2018. Joyce was born October 14, 1926 on a farm in Humbird, WI to James and Elgie (Pierce) Hardwick. She grew up and graduated from the Humbird High School, attended beauty school in Eau Claire, WI and later owned a beauty salon in Strum, WI. Joyce Noreen Hardwick and Carroll Ervin "Bud" Kelsh were married at St. James Evangelical Reform Church in Neillsville, WI on May 22, 1948. In 1956 the family moved to Fargo, ND where they made their home until October 2016. Joyce then moved to Crosby, MN where her daughter and family lived.

Joyce was an active member in many different activities of First Lutheran Church of Fargo, ND. Over the years she was involved in many volunteer activities in the community as well. She enjoyed playing bridge, water aerobics, sewing, golfing, bowling and camping. She truly enjoyed spending time with friends, neighbors, and family. She was a great supporter of Bud's and her children's activities.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents and three brothers, Wayland, Daryl and Marshal.

Joyce is survived by her children, Bruce (Wendy) of Cottage Grove, OR, Nick (Anne) of Philadelphia, PA, Eric (Teresa) of Albuquerque, NM, Joel of Minneapolis, and Jill (Paul) Mattson of Crosby; eight beloved grandchildren, Aaron, Chaz, Alex, James, Elizabeth, Madison, Alexander and Teddy; sisters, Winnie Tesmer, Marjorie Harris, Beth Johnson and Dawn Johnson; and brothers, Dale and Lamar.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Mentor Cemetery in Humbird, WI. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the services on Friday at the Church. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church Foundation, First Lutheran Quilter's, 619 Broadway N., Fargo, ND 58102 or Immanuel Lutheran Church, PO Box 98, Crosby, MN. 56441. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
