"The Young & the Restless” star Michael Muhney was reportedly fired from the popular CBS soap for groping his much younger co-star, Hunter King not once, but twice.

King, 20, went to “Y&R” honchos after Muhney, 38, allegedly twice tried to cop a feel after work, TMZ reports.

Muhney is married with three children. He plays Adam Newman on the long-running daytime drama. King plays Summer Newman.

TMZ quotes sources saying Muhney’s alleged behavior was the “straw that broke the camel’s back,” and that he had been a trouble on set for some time.

RadarOnline.com also reported that King threatened to go to the cops if Muhney was not fired.

Muhney announced on Twitter December 17 that he was being let go from "Y&R," but gave no reason. On Monday, after the reports of his alleged behavior surfaced, Muhney tweeted this:

TMZ also tracked down a popular soap blog that reported the alleged incidents some weeks ago.

Many "Y&R" fans were none too pleased to find out Muhney was leaving, and several blasted the allegations.

Some were reportedly so outraged they pooled their funds to hire a plane to fly a banner over the "Y&R" studios telling execs to bring Muhney back.

Muhney is also known for his role as Detective Don Lamb on “Veronica Mars,” a role TMZ says he was also fired from due to his on-set behavior.

FOX411’s call to Muhney’s agent and email to CBS reps were not immediately returned.
