3 To Do: Dances, swamp walks, arts and crafts

1. Saturday: Winter Wonderland Dinner/Dance

The annual Winter Wonderland Dinner/Dance will be hosted by the San Marco Columbiettes from 6:30 until 10 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, at the San Marco Parish Center, 851 San Marco Rd., Marco Island.

Dinner menu will include salad, prime rib dinner with all the trimmings, dessert and coffee with cash bar. Substitution for beef will be available upon request at time of ticket purchase.

There will be a 50/50 drawing, fabulous raffle prizes and beautiful baskets of cheer to be auctioned.  Entertainment for your listening and dancing pleasure will be provided by the duo, “Cahlua & Cream.”

Tickets are on sale at the Parish Office at $55 per person.

2. Friday: Arts & Crafts Show

From 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Jan. 18 and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Friday, Jan. 19 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1101 North Collier Blvd., Marco Island.

Great shopping; something for everyone. The sale benefits St. Mark's Church Brotherhood.

3. This weekend and beyond: Naturalist led Swamp Walks

Scheduled for Saturdays on Jan. 20, Feb. 10 and Feb. 25. The Feb. 10 walk will be led by park biologist Mike Owen.

On these five-hour adventures, naturalists lead participants deep into the swamp in knee high water. Swamp walks, by Friends of Fakahatchee, are $75 and begin at 9:30 a.m. For required reservations and additional dates through March, visit orchidswamp.org and click on tours and events.
