Authorities identified 55-year-old Clarence Briggs of Newville as the man who attempted an armed holdup at a tollbooth in Fort Littleton, off I-76, at around 7 a.m. Sunday, leading to his death and those of two workers.

Pennsylvania State police are holding a press conference at Burnt Cabins maintenance facility regarding this morning's shootings on the Pennsylvania Turnpike that left three people dead.

A recording captured the emergency call following the Pennsylvania Turnpike shooting Sunday morning.

Victims have been identified as Danny Crouse and Ronald Heist. The gunman was identified as Clarence Briggs, a retired trooper.
