The owners of a collision repair shop were left stunned after a drunk driver crashed upside down into the side of their building.
The GMC Yokon crashed into the Lone Star Collision repair shop in Colleyville, Texas, on Wednesday, Colleyville Police said.
The driver, who has not yet been named, was taken into custody and police say alcohol was a factor in the accident.
No one in the building was hurt, the owners said on Facebook.
However, two people in a car that was hit by the offending vehicle before the collision where injured and taken to a local hospital.
Captain Robert Hinton of Colleyville Police said: ‘Had someone been in the back seat, they would not have survived. There was very little left of the car.’
Lone Star Collision owner Jennifer Lapier said: ‘It was unbelievable. I just couldn’t believe what I saw. I’ve never seen anything like that before.
‘It is ironic that they did crash into a building that was a collision centre,’ she added.
It is not known if the shop will repair the GMC Yokon.
