Man dies after taking elephant anaesthetic 10,000 times stronger than heroin

A man has died after taking heroin contaminated with a lethal animal anaesthetic 10,000 times stronger than heroin.

Neil Waters, 45, took the lethal heroin in a caravan at his family home on April 13 and was found dead the next day.

Drug users have been found lying on the floor of a shop, slouched in a phone box and lying in a daze beside the city’s memorial to the war dead in recent days.

Chelsea Wilkie, of Vera Crescent in Rainworth was brought up from the cells at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 30 to answer a charge of wounding with intent.

A man has died in a crash involving a motorbike and a car on the A52, police have confirmed.

Emergency services descended on the A52, Main Road, Haceby, on Monday, August 28, after the collision at 5.30pm.

Proposals are to go before West Lindsey District Council which could see a RAF Museum of Firefighting created, along with a cafe and a memorabilia shop on North Warren Road.

A elderly and frail man says he was left lying on his kitchen floor in distress for almost four hours waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

The 87-year-old, who does not want to be named, fell in his kitchen on Sunday evening and spent the next few hours lying “in some discomfort” on the cold floor.

One driver was airlifted to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield and the other was taken by ambulance to Doncaster Royal Infirmary following a serious collision on Blyth Road, between Blyth and Ranskill.

Lincoln City have condemned a football fan who hurled a smoke bomb onto the pitch at Sincil Bank on Saturday – and stressed imitators will be banned if they are caught.

Police are studying CCTV and using forensics to try to find the supporter who threw the flare onto the pitch during the Imps’ 4-1 victory over The Cumbrians.

Homes throughout Boston are currently being affected by low water pressure or no water pressure at all - forcing people to use bottled water to get by.

People in the Kirton and Wyberton areas of Boston are affected with many saying they have no water at all.

It is also believed homes at Gosberton and Fishtoft are affected too.

A 23-year-old woman has been charged following an incident at a popular holiday destination on the Lincolnshire coast.

Chelsea Wilkie, of Vera Crescent, Rainworth, Nottinghamshire has been charged with wounding with intent and will appear before Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, August 30.

Temperatures across Lincolnshire are set to plummet by 10 degrees in the next 24 hours and drizzle is set to make a comeback.

The remnants of a cold front are set to wrap the county in a blanket of cloud and drizzle.

The mercury levels are set to struggle today and there are set to be highs of 18 degrees across the country and this may even be as low as 15 degrees in Lincoln - that’s way below the 28 degree heat wave enjoyed by England.

Two people cared for a little girl at the scene of a horrific crash which led to the death of a woman who was a passenger in the same car.

The pair of Good Samaritans stayed with the three-year-old as paramedics treated the woman, 26, who later died in hospital from her injuries.

The three-vehicle crash happened on the A17 near Leadenham on Friday, August 25 just after 8pm.
