PORTSMOUTH – The Prescott Park Arts Festival announced four additional summer concerts in its River House Restaurant Concert Series Monday. Dr. Dog, Pat Metheny, Mandolin Orange and Billy Strings will be coming to the Prescott Park stage this summer.

“Accessibility and diversity is important to us,” said Festival President Ben Anderson. “Having the opportunity to experience a 20 Grammy Award-winning jazz master one week and a wild bluegrass picker the next is part of what makes the park so exciting and magical each summer.”

Dr. Dog will perform on Friday, July 13. Known for its live shows, this long-running Philadelphia band has built a powerful following, and makes their debut appearance in Prescott Park in celebration of their new release, "Critical Equation."

Anchoring the 23rd Tommy Gallant Jazz Festival on Sunday, Aug. 5, Pat Metheny is a guitar virtuoso whose accessible, original style and extraordinary sense of technique bridged the gap between jazz and rock, and earned him three gold albums and 20 Grammy Awards.

Having made its Prescott Park debut in 2016, Mandolin Orange returns on Wednesday, Aug. 15. The band has become well-known for live shows that are filled with vibrant chemistry, effortless instrumentation, and breezy, fluid harmonies.

Billy Strings will appear on July 25. This fiery musician plays hard and has become one of the most beloved, young bluegrass guitarists today.

Concerts are free, but a donation of $8-$10 is suggested per person. Tables and blankets in the park are available for season members to reserve at prescottpark.org. The general public can begin reserving them May 14.

The festival offers a musical production of "Seussical" beginning on Friday, June 22 through Aug. 19, and a soon-to-be-released Monday Night Movie Series presented by Wentworth-Douglass at Pease.
