JEMEZ SPRINGS, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s an annual tradition in Jemez Springs, New Mexico for four-legged friends and their owners to get out and enjoy the outdoors during the end of February. Formerly known as Fire and Ice, the Cabin Fever Festival provides entertainment while raising money for a local animal shelter.
The shelter, Animal Amigos, is a no-kill rescue group which will receive 30 percent of the proceeds raised at the festival.
The Jemez Springs Community Library will also be selling a handful of books from famed author Tony Hillerman which were donated by his daughter.
Everything begins on Saturday at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. right in the Jemez Springs Plaza.
