HAVERTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A fiery crash involving a box truck has brought down power lines and closed a portion of a major Delaware County roadway.

It happened shortly after 4 a.m. Monday on West Chester Pike near County Country Club in Havertown.

Watch Action Cam video from the scene in Havertown where a box truck accident took down wires, causing a power outage for local residents.

Police say the truck ran into a utility pole.

The driver of the truck was able to get out of the vehicle.

The crash shut down the 900 block of West Chester Pike in both directions for hours.

Westbound lanes reopened around 6:40 a.m. Eastbound lanes remain closed.

PECO says approximately 500 customers are without power.

No injuries have been reported.
