New job: Sarah Tressler, 30, has landed a new journalism job after being fired last year by the Houston Chronicle

A reporter who was fired from the Houston Chronicle last year after she was outed as a stripper has landed a new journalism job.

Sarah Tressler, 30, was fired in March as a society reporter for the conservative newspaper after failing to inform bosses about her after-hours career, which she had chronicled on a blog entitled ‘Diary of an Angry Stripper.'

Her extra curricular activities were first revealed by the paper’s rival the Houston Press, which now reports that Tressler has joined the San Antonio Express News as a breaking news reporter.

According to Tressler’s Twitter account, she covers ‘cops, crime and general mayhem.’

Ironically, Tressler’s new paper is owned by Heart Corp, which also owns her previous newspaper.

After leaving the Chronicle, Tressler hired celebrity attorney Gloria Allred and sued the Hearst Corp.

There is speculation that Tressler’s new post is part of a settlement deal that was reached between the two parties.

Tressler had been employed full-time by the Houston Chronicle from Jan. 19 to March 27.

Prior to the Houston Press exposing Tressler's double life, photos of her posing provocatively in lingerie and six-inch heels were all over her social network profiles.

On her Facebook fan page she had posted the following frank and forward admission: 'I strip for crazy people and then write about it so we can laugh at them TOGETHER. That's love, people.'

She listed her interests as including 'Brass poles, tiny muscles, money, and the perfectly polite conversation of your choosing.'

On her 'Diary of an Angry Stripper' blog, she wrote about customers' irksome requests, fetishes and late-night hook-ups with at least one recognizable name - actor Jeremy Piven.

According to the original article in the Houston Press, Tressler's nightlife work and thinly-veiled attempt to conceal her identity had editors at the Chronicle reeling.

Strike a pose: Prior to her stripper job being exposed, Tressler had posted several photos on her Facebook page and Twitter about it

A source said: 'Her fellow Chronicle employees have found out and they're furious. Furious because she barely bothers to conceal her identity and they're worried about the reaction from the "ladies who lunch" when they inevitably find out that they've been hosting an active stripper at their benefits.'

'[Chronicle employees are] furious because she "flaunts" her "stripper money" around the office in the form of expensive designer clothes and handbags.'

Tressler has a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston, where she works as an adjunct professor. She also has a master's degree in journalism from New York University and has worked as a freelance reporter for publications including Us Weekly, L.A. City Beat and GLOSS Magazine.
