Tristan Thompson fined $15K for flipping off heckling fans
Tristan Thompson is the latest in a string of NBA players who have lost their cool with fans sitting courtside, and the Cleveland Cavaliers star will have a little less money to spend because of it.
The NBA announced on Thursday that Thompson has been fined $15K for making an inappropriate gesture toward a fan when the Cavs visited the Brooklyn Nets Monday night.

A video that was captured by a fan and shared with TMZ showed Thompson being heckled at the Barclays Center, and he responded by flipping the bird.

Thompson was fined slightly less than the $25K Kevin Durant was docked for his interaction with a fan, but that was probably because Durant rained F-bombs on the guy rather than just using a hand gesture. Patrick Beverley was also fined $25K this week, but he threw a ball in the direction of a fan.
If players want to keep their money, they had better start doing a better job of ignoring fans.
