Billie Sue Anderson Middleton, 83, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2018. Mrs. Middleton was born in Sequatchie, Tn. to the late William and Virginia Jones Anderson. Sue was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Rev. Robert E. Middleton, Sr. and her son, Phil Middleton.
Survivors include her sons, Robert (Robin) Middleton, Michael (Jean) Middleton and Larry Middleton; seven grandchildren, LaDonna, Jeana, Aaron, Julia, Nathan, Diana and Kristy; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, George (Francis) Anderson; and one sister, Martha Ann (Leon) Long.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 18 in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Steve Cape and Rev. Jim Rolen officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Bryant, Al. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.
The family would like to give special thanks to Soddy-Daisy Healthcare Center and Hospice of Chattanooga for the wonderful care and compassion they’ve shown toward their mom for the past three years.
