Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus got married a couple of months ago, and they have been all kinds of adorable since—Miley walked the red carpet for her sick husband at his recent movie premiere, Liam has been calling her a "sweet, sweet angel" at awards shows, and please don't get me started on these instagrams.
But all of this Liam-Miley love almost didn't happen! In an interview this week, Liam shared that it was a complete fluke that he met Miley when they co-starred in the movie The Last Song together in 2010.
Apparently, after Liam auditioned for the role, someone else got the part and Liam's U.S. visa (he's Australian) was up. Liam shares with Today, “That was the first job I got [in the U.S.], and it was literally right at the end of my three-month visa. Originally they cast another kid, and it didn’t work out with him...My agent calls me whispering, like ‘You’ve got to go to Disney right now. It’s not working out with the other guy. You’ve got to go in and read with Miley again."
Obviously, Liam ended up getting the job and really hitting it off with his co-star. Liam adds, "It's sort of weird how it all comes together and 10 years later I'm here, married...I feel really happy and really fortunate to be with such a great person. We've been through so much together over the last ten years, so it felt like it was time."
Aw! And thank goodness it worked out for these two because Miley's recent NSFW Valentine's message to Liam was everything that I needed this VDay.
