Jason Bunyon was in a giving mood on Thursday as he dished out 6 assists to help the Westford Academy boys lacrosse team get a 13-11 victory over Newton South.

Matt Curran led the Grey Ghosts in scoring with 4 goals to go with 1 assist, while Chris Blouin had 3 goals and 2 assists.

Cam Barisano contributed 3 goals and 3 assists for Westford. Nick Furness compiled 12 saves for WA (2-0).

Brandon Winn netted 3 goals, and Colby Brown had 2 goals and 2 assists as Tewksbury (0-4) fell short in this MVC battle.

Shane Darrigo had a pair of goals for the Redmen. Connor Charron had a dominant day on faceoffs, winning 17-of-24.

Senior Liam McDonough had 2 goals and 2 assists, but G-D lost for the first time this season and dipped to 3-1.

Senior Blake Lacombe had a hat trick for the Crusaders. Andrew Berube and Matt Buhler each had a goal and an assist.

The Tigers’ victory was guided by Danny Angell, who led the team in scoring with 4 goals and 1 assist.

Brody Leinson chipped in 2 goals while teammate Will Scott compiled 2 goals and 3 assists. Brandon Witherell also had 14 saves for Littleton.

Billerica was guided by Tyler Morris with 4 goals and 2 assists in the MVC battle.

Nate Young also contributed 2 goals and a lone assist. Teammate Pat Quinn had 1 goal and 3 assists. Justin Guinane added 9 saves in the Indians’ victory.

The Tigers were led by Jimmy Albert, who pocketed 4 goals. Teammate Josh Boyd contributed 3 assists and Mitch MacNeill chipped in 1 goal and 1 assist. Goalie Ryan Hardy had 13 saves in Tyngsboro’s effort.

Brian Cameron and Sam Prunier each tallied 4 goals to power the Cardinals.

Cameron also dished out 5 assists. Sean Cameron added 3 goals and an assist, while Drew Hailey contributed 2 goals and 2 assists for BG (2-0). BG led 9-2 after the opening quarter.
