WHITE MARSH, Md. (WBFF) - A flier with racist images protesting bus lines at White Marsh Mall has spurred widespread outrage on social media and calls for boycotts of the mall.

The flier has been circulating on Facebook and shows a photo from "Planet of the Apes" with the caption, "Inner City Youths Riot at White Marsh Mall."

It also says: "Stop the Ghetto Bus Line! Keep the Uneducated, Loud, Rude, Wild Animals in the City where they belong!"

White Marsh Mall management said in a statement Monday that they don't know where the fliers came from.

"White Marsh Mall is an inclusive environment for everyone," said senior public relations manager Lindsay Kahn of General Growth Properties in the statement. "We are outraged and disgusted by the flier circulating in social media and had absolutely nothing to do with the creation of it."

A number of people online were outraged by the fliers and said they would boycott White Marsh Mall or area businesses.

Some Baltimore County leaders called for a curfew and changes to the mall bus line after a major fight there.

Gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous, former president of the national NAACP, released a statement on the fliers Monday.

"Words cannot even begin to describe the sickness I feel in seeing young black residents of our state depicted in such a hateful way," said Jealous in the statement. "It is not enough to condemn racism when it comes in the form of white nationalism rallying in Charlottesville or in Washington, D.C. We must stand up to this hatred every day, especially in our own cities and neighborhoods, if we want to heal the racial divides that still tear too many of our communities apart."
