PICK OF THE WEEKEND

Saturday Night Live

NBC, Saturday, 11:30 p.m.

Every election cycle makes SNL a must-watch. Given Saturday’s episode will be the first after ballots were turned in, that maxim is even truer. And there’s the matter of stand-up legend Dave Chappelle hosting for his first time. The Chappelle’s Show star mostly plied his trade after walking off the Comedy Central show’s set in 2005 playing comedy shows away from the gaze of cameras. This is his first time back on TV since then. Oh, and A Tribe Called Quest will play music from their new and final album, We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service. Can you kick it? Yes, you can.

DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER LAUGHTER?

All Def Comedy

HBO, Saturday, 10 p.m.

Russell Simmons, the master behind those iconic Def Comedy Jam hours from the ’90s, brings the brand back to HBO. Tony Rock and DJ Drama host, while up-and-comers like Chris Powell, Zainab Johnson, Kevin Tate, and Robert Powell perform. Who knows, maybe one of them will be the next Dave Chappelle.

AISLE OF MAN

Last Man Standing

ABC, Friday, 8 p.m.

Mike watches Mandy turn into a “bridezilla” on her wedding day in this very progressive episode of Last Man Standing.

STILL LOOKING GRIM

The Walking Dead

AMC, Sunday, 9 p.m.

Rick and Daryl’s outfit are still under the terrifying reign of Negan and his right-hand lady, the barbed-wire-strewn bat Lucille. Read Dalton Ross’ TWD coverage here.

THE WILD WEST: STILL WILD

Westworld

HBO, Sunday, 9 p.m.

Watch one of The Walking Dead and Westworld live and DVR the other. Things continue to get real in the adult playground.

WHAT TO WATCH: THE SHOW

BingeWorthy

PEN Network, Sunday, Streaming

Choosing how to allocate your TV time is tough in the age of peak TV — that’s where BingeWorthy, streaming all week on the new People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN), comes in. Every week, TV-obsessed hosts Touré (MSNBC) and Jessica Shaw (SiriusXM) offer a sharp and funny take on what’s heating up the small screen and (equally entertaining) what’s fizzling out. Watch full episodes of BingeWorthy on PEN. Go to people.com/pen, or download the PEN app on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Xumo, Chromecast, iOS, and Android devices.
