WORCESTER — Six people were arrested Friday after police responded to numerous complaints about disorderly people frequently coming and going to a suspected illegal rooming house at 9 Corinth Drive.

Those arrested were: Marcin Klama, 32, of 9 Corinth Drive; Natalie Weiss, 39, of 9 Corinth Drive; Owen Alicea, 22, of 256 Belmont St.; Jennifer Pierce, 39, of 25 Queen St.; Amanda Lareau, 32, of 75 Coal Kiln Road, Princeton; and a 17-year-old boy.

A police report of the the incident gives the following account: The arrests occurred after plainclothes officers set up surveillance on the property about 9:45 a.m. Friday. Soon, an officer saw a man he believed to be the subject of an arrest warrant standing outside the house and then getting into a livery vehicle. Officers stopped the livery a short distance later. It turned out the man was not who the officer thought he was, but another man who was also the subject of an outstanding warrant: Mr. Klama. He was arrested

Police then learned that Ms. Weiss, also the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant, was living at the house.

Officers still watching the house saw a man and woman come out of the house and walk toward a parked vehicle. The officers went up to them and began talking to them. As they spoke, it began to rain heavily, so the pair agreed to continue the conversation indoors.

Once inside, officers saw about 10 people in the house.

Officers' attention was drawn to a man and a teenage boy who appeared to be nervously trying to hide objects in a chair and under a couch. The man was Mr. Alicea. Officers told him to show his hands, but he ignored them. Fearing he was trying to hide or obtain a weapon, an officer quickly approached him. Mr. Alicea reportedly got up and headed toward the kitchen.

Several more officers were now present, and one approached the teenage boy on the couch and told him to stand up and get away from the object he was trying to kick under the couch.

At the same time another officer examined the area Mr. Alicea had been sitting in and saw a handgun sticking out of the chair cushion. The officer yelled "gun," and everyone in the house was secured.

An examination of the sofa where the youth had been sitting revealed a duffle bag full of marijuana and plastic sandwich bags.

The teenager was arrested on charged of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Mr. Alicea was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a large capacity feeding device, and other weapons charges.

Ms. Weiss, Ms. Pierce, Ms. Lareau were all arrested on outstanding warrants.

The adults are scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
