Stephanie Lynn Paulsen Wright, 43, of Bloomington, passed away 7:20 p.m. Friday (Sept. 21, 2018) at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Community Cancer Center, Normal.
Stephanie was born July 21, 1975, in Bloomington, the daughter of Timothy and Patricia Blan Paulsen. She married Christopher Wright on Dec. 9, 1999.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia Nolan-Pulak, Normal; four children, Alyxandria Nicole Wright, Bloomington; Emilie Michelle Wright and Jacob Dean Patrick Wright, both of Anchor; and Jaxon Oliver McGuire, Bloomington; her significant other, Freeland McGuire, Bloomington; one grandchild, Naomii Lynn Nicole Wright, Bloomington; three siblings, Matthew Paulsen and Ketra Gardner, both of Bloomington, and Cain Gardner, Normal; and three very special friends, Dawn Schultz-Bair, Normal, Peggy Rexroat, Bloomington; and Gwendolyn Allen, Sandwich.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents, Thomas and Cecelia Blan.
Stephanie graduated from Normal Community High School and attended Heartland Community College. She worked in accounting at the National Board Research Center at Illinois State University for several years and she loved her coworkers.
Stephanie enjoyed music, dancing and beauty. She was obsessed with the show “Friends” and life itself. She was very active in her children’s lives and was a member of the Ridgeview High School School Board. Stephanie will be remembered for her creativity, but most of all, her love of family and friends.
