Hell on Wheels! 'Pioneer Woman' Couple's 30+ Run-Ins with Cops for Speeding & More!
Food Network stars Ree and Ladd Drummond might be skilled at riding tractors, but the married ranchers have allegedly raised hell in their hometown state of Oklahoma for driving at high speeds, and at times, without licenses and seat belts, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
The Pioneer Woman stars have paid more than $3,000 in traffic violations since they’ve been married, court documents indicate.
According to an Osage County court clerk in the state of Oklahoma, cattleman Ladd has been pulled over “a total of 25 times” – and that’s just in one county!
Early on in the Drummonds’ marriage, in June 1998, Ladd was charged with one count of operating a motor vehicle with an expired license. According to an Oklahoma County clerk, Ladd then skipped out on his court appearance and a bench warrant was issued. It took him over a year to pay off the $130 fine before it was dismissed by a judge.
Later that same year, online court documents show Ladd was flagged down by cops for allegedly operating a motor vehicle without a license altogether, costing him an additional $73 fine.
In the following six years, Ladd received 10 speeding tickets in counties around the state of Oklahoma, court clerks around the state confirmed to RadarOnline.com. In March 2001, he dished out $133 for speeding between 21-25 mph over the limit and was also caught driving without a license a second time.
One of Ladd’s priciest tickets for unsafe driving came in 2008. The cowboy was pulled over for speeding 15 miles per hour over the speed limit. According to a Garfield County clerk, Ladd was issued a bench warrant “because he failed to pay it on time.” He was slapped with more fines and ultimately paid $306.50 three months later.
Then, in January 2009, Ladd had his license suspended for “approximately one month,” an Osage County Clerk informed RadarOnline.com. Ladd had been caught speeding 21-25 mph over the speed limit and all went downhill shortly after.
“No payment was made so his license was suspended three months later, in April 2009,” the clerk continued. “What we do is we send it in for suspension to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.”
Ladd ultimately paid the ticket and was then issued a reinstatement of his license, the clerk concluded.
Although Ladd isn’t the only one with a lead foot in the Drummond family. Ree has a list of steep traffic fines, too, and like her husband, she’s also had her license taken away from her.
According to an Osage county clerk, Ree’s license was suspended for six months in 2001 following her failure to pay off a ticket she received for failure to carry insurance.
The clerk explained to RadarOnline.com: “If you don’t have insurance or didn’t have your insurance card with you, it’ll automatically suspend your license. She probably didn’t know she owed money and realized it six months later and paid it off.”
Between the years of 2006-2016, Drummond was pulled over and ticketed for multiple counts of speeding, which cost her a total of $1,107.75!
In addition to putting off traffic fees, the Drummonds also have run risks on the road by opting to drive without their seatbelts. In the early 2000s, Ladd was clocked twice by cops for failing to wear his, court clerks confirmed.
The Drummonds’ repeated violations aren’t the first time they’ve been at the heart of a scandal. RadarOnline.com recently exposed Drummond’s dark family secret of her mother having an affair on her father with the family’s church rector.
Additionally, Ree came under fire last year for making mean and demeaning jokes that upset her fans. The food chef shockingly wrote in a since-deleted blog post that her individuality came from the fact that she had a “black grandpa.”
