Nicole Scherzinger broke down in tears watching a didgeridoo player on Australia’s Got Talent.

In the last audition round of the series, Mitch Tambo hope to impress the judges – Nicole, Shane Jacobson, Manu Feildel and Lucy Durack, with his unique take on an Aboriginal song.

Mitch, a Melbourne-based 29-year-old Indigenous man who grew up in Tamworth, explained that he wanted his music to inspire young people.

He said: ‘I really wanted to show all the young people that you can use all the things that influence you in the contemporary world and in our ancient world, and put them together to celebrate who you are.’

Asked by the judges why he wanted to audition, Mitch explained he wanted to ‘show Australia and the world our culture is alive, it’s breathing and it deserves to be showcased in 2019.’

After his performance, Nicole was in floods of tears as she praised his passion.

The 41-year-old said: ‘Honestly dude I really don’t know what just happened to me right now.

‘He is so fearless, and he is so brave and I want to be like him. You really inspire me. I think you’re a true representative of Australia’s beauty and culture and talent and that’s why I have to do this.’

Nicole then stood up and pressed the Golden Buzzer on the judges’ table, sending Mitch straight through to the finals.

Other Golden Buzzer acts include acrobatic troupe Akrobatika and seven-year-old comedian JJ Pantano.

It comes after Nicole was moved to tears by rapper D Minor, who performed an original song about his experience with homelessness.

Australia’s Got Talent airs on Seven Network in Australia.
