UPDATE: Suspect identified in Danville robbery

UPDATE:

Danville Police identified Bobby Lee Keith III, 29, of Danville, as the suspect of a robbery at Joy Food Store on September 14, 2018.

Police believe Keith III is armed.

Danville Police say a man is wanted after robbing a food store in the city Friday morning.

Police say they responded to the Joy Food Store on 2180 West Main Street around 9:48 a.m. for reports of a robbery.

Upon arrival, police spoke with a male employee who was a victim in the robbery. The victim told officers that he was stocking items in the store when a male entered the store, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money.

Police say they were told that the man was wearing a mask, black tennis shoes, gray sweat pants, white sweater with a gray hood and a white glove on his right hand.

The man took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and fled on foot, police say.
