BATTLE CREEK, MI -- Police have released photos a suspect in a series of break-ins and jewelry thefts from Battle Creek businesses over the past two weeks.
Break-ins and thefts have occurred at at the following Battle Creek businesses, according to a news release from the Battle Creek Police Department:
- Pearlman's Jewelry, 692 Capital Avenue SW, around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 30
- King Jewelers, 2811 Capital Avenue SW, around 4:37 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9
- Happy House Gift Shop, 100 E Columbia Ave, around 12:52 a.m. Tuesday, Nov.13.
Jewelry has been the target in each, according to police.
Police said the suspect appears to be a male wearing a hood, brown coat, black backpack, black shoes with white soles, black-framed glasses and a bandanna or mask over his face. Police said he might be about 5 feet, 10 inches tall.
The center picture above, with time the stamp "11/13/2018 00:16:00," is of a man police have named as a person of interest in multiple thefts. Police said the man matches the physical description of a suspect in the three robberies, and was in the area on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the time of the theft from Happy House Gift Shop, 100 E. Columbia Ave. in Battle Creek.
