Cyclist hit, killed by tractor trailer in Orangeburg

Orangeburg, S.C. (WACH)-- According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol a cyclist died after being struck by a tractor trailer about one mile north of Orangeburg.

At approximately 7:40 p.m. Saturday, a cyclist was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 301 when he was struck by tractor trailer.

The cyclist died at the scene due to incident related injuries.

The SC Highway Patrol continues to investigate this incident.
