Madonna shared a topless mirror selfie on social media, but not everyone was pleased with it.

On July 5, the “Like a Virgin” singer shared a semi-nude photo of her on Instagram. In the photo, Madonna wears nothing but black underwear, which she paired with a black hat. She covers her breasts with her arms as she positions her two hands while holding her phone in front of her.

Apparently, Madonna is still in shape at 61. However, not everyone was pleased after seeing her semi-nude picture.

According to Page Six, many people thought she was “too old” to be posing semi-nude. One netizen even called her “granny.”

“Never do this again your to old for this sh—, ” one commented.

“Please cover yourself,” another added.

“Such a joke. Granny!!” dukepan3857 wrote.

“Is your self esteem that low that you got to take your clothes off and put it on Instagram Madonna you’re rich or famous you have everything but I guess your self-esteem is not there,” another added.

“Seriously? Are you that desperate for attention?” catfishsam8 wrote.

Meanwhile, another online user said that the picture did not reflect the Madonna she knows.

“It’s nothing to do with age, artistry, owning your body or stuff like that. It’s something much more straight forward: there’s beauty, grace and sexiness in a naturally fit ‘older’ body,” mmck177 wrote.

“That’s the opposite of what Madonna decided to do with her body. Turn it into a plastic field... I really miss you Madonna...but not what you have become. It’s really sad as I loved you for so long.”

Despite the backlash, there were also a number of netizens who praised Madonna for her body. For them, the “Material Girl” songstress is still in her best shape despite being in her 60s already.

“Still a hottie,” one wrote.

“Still sexier than most models today, ” another added.

“So brave!!!! Love how you just don't give a [explicit]! You still dare to push buttons! Thank you for that!! ” a different user commented.

Meanwhile, back in April, the “La Isla Bonita” singer shared a clip of her typing a diary entry. The performer shared that she lost several friends in the past 24 hours when she did the video.

The post sparked concern from her fans, and many wondered if she was losing it due to the pandemic. Many also sympathized with Madonna.

“I hope you heal soon. I hate that you're in pain,” one wrote.
