Tipoff: 7:30 a.m. Friday at Oracle Arena.

TV: CSN Bay Area.

Records: Warriors 28-5, Mavericks 10-23.

Season series: The teams met Nov. 9 when former Warriors Harrison Barnes and Andrew Bogut returned to Oracle Arena. Klay Thompson scored 18 of his 20 points in the first quarter of a 116-95 triumph over the undermanned Mavericks. Dallas coach Rick Carlisle, already missing Dirk Nowitzki and Deron Williams because of injuries, rested Bogut, Wesley Matthews and J.J. Barea. Four Warriors — Thompson, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green — each hit four 3-pointers. Durant had 28 points and 10 rebounds.

Warriors update: Golden State began its stretch of nine of 10 games at home with a 121-111 victory over the Toronto Raptors. The Warriors played perhaps their best quarter of the season, opening a 42-17 lead that had been as large as 25 points. They shot 18 of 25 (72 percent) from the field on their way to their seventh 40-point quarter of the season. They also held the Raptors to 5-of-26 shooting. But turnovers plagued the Warriors again and allowed Toronto to get back into the game, closing within five points in the second and fourth quarters. … The Warriors are the only team to hang a double-digit defeat on the Raptors this season. … If the Warriors were to meet the Raptors in the NBA Finals, Andre Iguodala probably wouldn’t mind. In two games against Toronto this season, he has 21 points on 9-for-9 shooting from the field. … Curry (28 points), Durant (22) and Thompson (21) all scored 20 or more in the same game for the 11th time this season. The Warriors are 11-0 in those games.

Mavericks update: This is the second game of a California back-to-back for Dallas, which defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 101-89 on Thursday night at the Staples Center. … The Lakers game was civilized compared to Tuesday night’s testy skirmish against Houston. A hard screen by Bogut — no surprise — in the second quarter resulted in a flagrant foul and set the confrontational tone for the rest of the night. Dallas’ Justin Anderson and Nene, then Nowitzki and Ryan Anderson got into heated arguments. In all, eight technical fouls were called. After the game, Rockets forward Trevor Ariza waited outside the Mavericks’ locker room for center Salah Mejri, with whom he tangled during the game. James Harden called the Mavericks “disrespectful” and “unprofessional.” Houston won the game 123-107 and swept the season series. They won’t meet again until next season. … Nowitzki has been playing limited minutes in eight starts this season. He has missed 24 games because of an Achilles strain and didn’t play Thursday night in Los Angeles because of a fever. … Barnes leads the Mavericks in scoring at 20.3 points per game.

Things to watch: This is the Mavericks’ fourth games in five nights, so it’s possible Bogut might sit out after playing the past two games. He had missed the previous 11 games because of a right knee injury. …Barea has a strained calf and is not expected to play tonight. … In their past three games, the Warriors have had 63 turnovers, which led to 79 points. … After the up-tempo game against Toronto, expect a slower pace tonight. Dallas is last in the NBA in average number of possessions per game at 93.0, last in scoring at 95.0 points per game and putting more of an emphasis on defense instead of offense.
