And they remind residents to lock their vehicles.

OSSINING, NY — An Ossining man faces larceny, stolen property, and drug charges after a cop chase on Spring Street. And police are reminding residents to lock their cars.

There has been a string of larcenies from cars between Spring Street and Ossining High School, police said. So when they received a call of someone looking into cars, they canvassed the area. They saw a man fitting the description in a driveway on State Street — who ran when accosted by police. He was caught a few blocks away.

Police allege he was in possession of credit cards, checks and currency, as well as having an oxycontin and a Xanax.
