Grieving widow Patty Hearst has arranged for the funeral of her late husband, Bernard Shaw, to be held at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel on Wednesday. We hear the ceremony will be followed by a private lunch.
A friend said: “Though Bernard died Dec. 17, Patty waited to have the funeral till everybody got back from holidays” and that she’s personally handled the details.
Many of the Hearst clan, including Patty’s daughters Gillian Hearst Simonds and Lydia Hearst-Shaw, are expected to attend.
Shaw was the highly decorated officer who married Hearst in 1979 while she was on bail after her infamous kidnapping by the Symbionese Liberation Army. He became Hearst Corp.’s VP of corporate security.
