A Gloucester store will be hosting TV’s Bargain Hunt for the first time next week.

Contestants and one of the show’s roster of guest presenters will be heading to Gloucester Antiques Centre on Monday, January 21.

Despite a crew of 28 and all the equipment needed for the show, managers of the Westgate Street store said they will still be open to the general public while filming takes place.

Lee Kendrick said he was looking forward to having the production come to visit his store.

“It’s always good to have a TV show here in Gloucester. It’s nice to have them come visits us.

“They haven’t been to this building before but they have been to our old premises.”

BBC One’s Bargain Hunt sees two pairs of contestants challenged to buy antiques from shops or a fair and then sell them in an auction for a profit.

Presenter Tim Wonnacott replaced the original host David Dickinson from 2003 to January 2016 but now there is a rota of hosts from a "team of experts" fronting the series.
