Man charged with armed robbery and petit theft in Okaloosa County

Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office charged Alvin Williams, 33, with armed robbery and petit theft on Sunday.

Deputies say Williams approached a 64-year-old man and offered to sell him drugs and when he refused, Williams pulled out a gun and demanded the man give him his bag.

Deputies say the bag contained a cell phone, a debit card, cash, a cross, and a jewelry box with a picture of Marilyn Monroe on it.

Deputies were able to find Williams from a description the victim gave. Deputies say he was spotted riding his bike on Hardie Lane near Fort Walton Beach.

The victim was able to identify Williams and deputies found a handgun matching the victims description.
