Billerica, Lowell make the sectionals

Billerica edged out Tewksbury, 11-9, in a non-league match at Trull Brook Golf Course in Tewksbury.

The win qualified the Indians (8-5) for the Division 2 North sectional tournament.

Winning their matches for Billerica were Matt Tucker and Justin Sterin (1-up), Garrett Murphy (4&2), Conor McGonagle (3&2), while Jason Babineau halved his match.

For the Redmen, Cam Grace (3&2), Anthony Pecci (2&1) and Sam White (4&3) won their matches, while Mike Polimeno halved his.

The Crusaders improved to 11-3 overall in a Mid-Wach B match held at Groton Country Club.

James Willson was the medalist as he shot an even-par 36. Following him were Jarred LeClerc (36), Ethan Loomis (38) and Nick Towle (39). Jackie Styles finished with a 41.

The Red Raiders qualified for the state tournament with a dominating non-league victory at Mt. Pleasant GC. Winning their matches were Thomas Carolan, Nick Mandeville, Keegan Cote, Patrick Cote, Ben Asselin, Matt Asselin, Owen Goulette and Trevor Green.

The Lions came away with the MVC victory at the Chelmsford CC.

Individual winners were Griffin Green, Tommy Hopkins, Jack Adamson, Ben Gastonguay, John Clancy and Cole Lawlor.

For Dracut, Andrew Dickson won his match and teamed up with Connor Jones to win their four-ball match. Kyle Mackay halved his match.
