Alongside the line-up of world class comedians and music stars, Stockton Globe has a vast range of upcoming events, from talks to tributes, Derren Brown to Diversity which will guarantee there is something for everyone.

After a jam-packed autumn programme, the venue continues to bring the best of live entertainment to Stockton and the newly restored theatre.

Inspirational speakers and unique events

The upcoming programme boasts a range of alternative events including evenings with inspirational speakers Tim Peake and Professor Brian Cox, tributes to music megastars Whitney Houston, Queen and Elvis and incredible dance talents Diversity and Gorka Marquez and Karen Hauer.

Kicking off the events in December is Whitney – Queen of the Night on Friday, December 3, which will be a stunning celebration of the music, life and ensuing legacy of Whitney Houston. Featuring a sensational line-up of musicians and artists, this production will take the audience on a journey through three decades of classic hits from the famed singer.

As the December programme progresses, the theatre will see a once-in-a-lifetime event come to the stage on Sunday, December 19 with a retrospective of the life, work and many roles of David Suchet. After captivating millions worldwide with his portrayal of the Belgian detective Poirot, audiences can expect a rare chance to go behind the screen and curtain with an acting legend.

Journey through space and time

As the theatre heads into 2022, Professor Brian Cox will bring Horizons to Teesside on Monday, February 7 and Tuesday, February 8, for a dazzling cinematic journey through far-away galaxies, supermassive black holes and a time before the Big Bang. Joined by comedian Robin Ince, Horizons will explore space and time, immersing audiences in the story of the universe.

In March 2022 astronaut Tim Peake will continue with the theme of space exploration, as he guides audiences through his journey to the International Space Station. Join him on Sunday, March 13 for never-before-seen footage and a fascinating insight into the world of a living astronaut.

See Diversity in action

Heading into June 2022, the dance stars Diversity will bring a brand new live performance to the stage with Connected. The show, on Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16 exploring social media and the digital world, will prove that there’s nothing quite like seeing dance performances live and in person.

Later in the year, the programme sees the master of mind control and illusion, Derren Brown, bring his one-man show to the Globe stage. The content of Showman, which will run from Tuesday , October 18 to Saturday, October 22, is shrouded in secrecy, so an unforgettable night is to be expected.

Great British Bake Off star and giver of coveted handshakes, Paul Hollywood will take to the stage on November 13 2022 to share his baking wisdom. The show will feature live demonstrations from a fully equipped kitchen, from which Paul will serve up tips, tricks and surprises along the way.
