Last year, Jacquees gained traction on the mainstream front when he released a slew of hits including “B.E.D.” and his club banger “At the Club” with Dej Loaf. The titillating video for “At the Club” clocked close to 50 million views on YouTube since its September release. Now, the burgeoning crooner is ready to make a bigger splash this summer with his debut album, 4275.
“Being that its my debut album, I just wanted to be honest in my music,” Jacquees exclusively tells Billboard. “I’ve grown and learned a lot and you’ll hear it all in my music. I’ve been in love, fell out of love and been in some really hard positions in life I’ve had to overcome. Overall, I just want people to know I put my heart and soul into this album. I’ve been working on it for four years, so shout out to everybody who put in time with me on making this album a classic.”

To get his loyalists prepared for his debut offering, Jacquees enlisted Trey Songz for this forthcoming single “Inside,” which will be released on Friday (May 18). Besides putting the finishing touches on 4275, Jacquees is also penciled in as an opening act for Chris Brown’s Heartbreak on the Moon Tour. The multi-city affair will kickoff June 19 with Jacquees, H.E.R., 6LACK, and Rich the Kid serving as Brown’s openers.
Last January, Jacquees and Brown tantalized fans with snippets off their joint project while hanging out in the studio. Though, the project has yet to materialize, things could be speeding up with the tour being underway. Until then, be on the lookout for Jacquees’ new single “Inside” later on tonight.
