Man threatened CVS employees with gun during robbery, police say

A Hope Hull man is under arrest in Tuscaloosa after police say he robbed a pharmacy at gunpoint.

The incident happened about 7:20 p.m. Saturday at CVS Pharmacy on Veterans Memorial Parkway in Tuscaloosa. Employees told police the man entered the store and told them he was armed.

He asked for multiple controlled substances, but an employee sounded the alarm and the suspect fled. A witness told police the man had gotten into a gray hatchback vehicle as he made his getaway.

Lt. Teena Richards said investigators received a tip about who may have been involved. On Tuesday, they took 36-year-old Stephen Garrett Wynn into custody. He was interviewed and charged with first-degree robbery.

Wynn's bond was set at $60,000.
