Tonopah Charter School Sees Every Computer Stolen

The thieves went in through a window and stole every computer from Crossroads Academy in Tonopah.

TONOPAH, AZ – Thieves broke in through a window at a charter school in Tonopah and stole every computer in the school. Crossroads Academy is a school 65 miles outside of Phoenix that serves mostly lower-income students..

The school has nine elementary students and 15 high school students . They share 20 laptops that are locked up at the end of the day.

The students arrived on Friday to discover someone had broken into the building, broke the lock on the storage room, and made off with the laptops.

While the principal is covering the cost of new laptops in the short-term, the school has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the laptops but also to purchase surveillance cameras for the school.
