PENDLE Council is running a roadshow about recycling changes in West Craven.

The roadshow, which will be held from 2pm to 6pm on Wednesday at the Co-op in Barnoldswick, will flag up the news that cardboard and paper for recycling will be collected every four weeks instead of every fortnight from April.

At the roadshow, shoppers will be able to take part in a recycling competition and two lucky winners will each win £25 in supermarket vouchers.

Pendle Council is offering an optional free blue wheelie bin to anyone who would like one for storing paper and card and people will be able to see the new bin at the roadshow.

More details about how the new service will work is on pendle.gov.uk/bluebin where people can also order a free blue bin online.

Brown bins for recycling glass bottles, jars, cans and plastic bottles will be collected every four weeks too.

Grey bin collections of rubbish will continue to be collected fortnightly and green bin collections for garden waste will continue to be fortnightly, for those on the optional scheme.

Collection days will stay the same, but there will be a different recycling collection on different weeks.
