Congratulations are in order.
Just days after his first World Series victory with the Houston Astros, Justin Verlander’s celebrating another major victory — he and Kate Upton are officially husband and wife.
Only those closest to the newlyweds attended the big day, according to TMZ.
The Verlanders exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at an old church at the Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort in Italy.
The 34-year-old Major League Baseball player skipped the championship parade in Houston on Friday, TMZ reports. Instead, he and Upton jetted off to Italy to kick off the wedding festivities.
Verlander and Upton, 25, got engaged in May 2016.
Her 8-carat engagement ring was estimated to be worth $1.5 million, according to Us Weekly.
