ND dump truck driver working on highway project dies from injuries

WILLISTON -- A 47-year-old northwest North Dakota man has died from his injuries after his  dump truck hauling concrete to a U.S. Highway 2 construction project on the west side of Williston ran off the roadway and overturned.

David Brown of Epping, N.D., died last Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Trinity Hospital in Minot from his injuries in the July 28th crash, the North Dakota State Patrol reported Monday.

Brown was traveling about 35 mph when his 1988 International dump truck went off the roadway and into the ditch. He was first taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Williston and airlifted later to the Minot hospital.

Amundson has more than 50 years experience as a journalist. He started as a sport reporter in Minnesota and spent the final 15 years of his full-time professional career for Forum News Service and The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead. Prior to retiring, Amundson was the city and night reporter for The Forum.

After retiring, he moved to the Sioux Falls, S.D., area, where he now writes on a freelance basis for Sioux Falls Live.
