Nancy Khan, 36, pleaded guilty to killing Ali Khan, 34, after the couple argued and he threatened to divorce her, sheriff said.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A woman on Tuesday was sentenced to a 40-year prison sentence for the killing of her Round Rock husband, according to reports.

Nancy Khan, 36, was convicted of murder in the shooting death of Ali Khan, 34, in 2015, after having pleaded guilty in May, the Austin American-Statesman reported. Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody told the newspaper the couple had gotten into an argument after he threatened to divorce her for lying about being pregnant.

“She admitted in court to shooting him several times and then executing him at point-blank range,” Chody said, as quoted by the Statesman.

Khan had lived in Round Rock since 1993, was a graduate of McNeil High School and was a general manager at Southwest Kia in Round Rock at time of his death, the newspaper reported. The man's death was discovered after a colleague called 911 in February 2015 for a check on his well-being after the man didn't show up to work, according to the report.

The late man's boss actually went to the couple's house along the 2800 block of Los Alamos Court and knocked on the door to no avail, calling the wife on the phone for information on her husband's welfare, the newspaper reported. The woman arrived about two hours later, entering the home alone, according to the report.
