Gisele Bündchen: I’ll retire from modeling ‘the day I die’

Gisele Bündchen is not giving up her throne as top model any time soon.

“I think I am the farthest I have ever been from retiring. I’ve never worked so hard in my life, actually,” the supermodel, 38, said during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday.

“I think I’ll retire only the day I die. Because I love working, I love creating, I think that’s why we’re here to keep creating and expanding and learning.”

Though the 20-year fashion industry veteran and mom of three has not walked a runway since 2015, she is still regularly featured on magazine covers and released a memoir in October.

In the book, the Brazilian beauty discusses everything from her family life with husband Tom Brady to her early battle with depression.

“I actually had the feeling of, ‘If I just jump off my roof, this is going to end, and I never have to worry about this feeling of my world closing in,’” she explained.

Besides becoming an author, Bündchen also owns her own lingerie company and, until 2017, was the highest paid model in the industry.

Perhaps she will reclaim her throne in 2019.
