“Who doesn’t love a great ‘before and after’ reveal?” she said.

One of her goals was to showcase local area vendors and partners who graciously provided products and collaborated on the episodes.

They included:

  • Kenise Barnes Fine Art, Larchmont
  • Carpet Trends, Rye
  • Klaffs, Scarsdale
  • Kontrast Danish Design, shopKontrast.com, Larchmont
  • Harlem Built for fine handcrafted furnishings, Brooklyn
  • Foundrywood, handcrafted furnishings, Brooklyn
  • Flower.n, Larchmont
  • Scandecor Rugs, Larchmont-based owner

Mitchell said that working on the program was great because the process was fast and intense.

“They were a bunch of pros,” she said.

Important points for Mitchell were delivering style at a budget and helping potential buyers envision themselves in the new space.

“Whether for TV or with my customers in real life,” she said, “my favorite part is always the excited reaction from the homeowners when they see the vision come to life at the end.”

Previews of the episodes Mitchell worked on can be viewed at her website here.

“Property Brothers: Buying & Selling” airs on HGTV on Wednesdays beginning July 20 at 9 p.m. ET.
