Birmingham Councilman Jay Roberson To Resign

Citing a move to Alabaster for family reasons, Birmingham City Councilman Jay Roberson is expected to resign, effective September 1. Roberson's resignation, coupled with council members Sheila Tyson and Lashunda Scales winning seats on the Jefferson County Commission, means the council will now have three vacant seats.

Calera Teacher Arrested on 40 Counts Of Child Pornography Possession

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday that a Calera Elementary School kindergarten teacher has been arrested and charged with 40 counts of possession of child pornography. Daniel Prentice Donaldson, 26, from Wilton, Alabama, was taken into custody Wednesday morning.

Hoover Woman Watches Husband Held At Gunpoint On Facebook

A woman working in Hoover Wednesday morning received a call via Facebook Live that she will likely never forget. The call was from a woman named Keanna La Trise Cammon who had a gun to the head of the Hoover woman's husband.
